2019 Update
Okay, so the challenge didn't go too well. I still have the birds and I'm very grateful to Emily for trying to help get this started. I ended up flying out just before Christmas anyway so I could accompany my girlfriend back for the holidays (as she was scared of flying) and we got a bus from Hannover to London. I do not recommend this.
I paid for the trip on a credit card and think I've just about paid it off. 😸
I'm still dating the same lovely lady and we've lived together for the last 4 years. I knew she was the one back when I started this blog and I'm more convinced than ever that she's my forever someone.
On the off-chance somebody sees this and does want to trade something, I can offer a load of blank DVD and Blurays, a jigsaw puzzle, or a personalised note with doodles. I suppose the next goal to save for should be a wedding.
